Best AV Carts and Stands: Six Shelf and TV Carts Compared

Six AV shelf carts and mobile TV stands for presentation equipment, with exact-model load limits, storage options and source conflicts explained.

The best AV carts and stands depend on what you need to support. A mounted TV needs the right VESA pattern and TV load limit; equipment on shelves needs usable space and a limit for each loaded surface. These six complete carts cover both forms, including open shelves, a cabinet with drop leaves, and mobile TV mounts. TVs, computers and projectors shown in product photos are not included unless the selected bundle says so.

Quick picks

1
Large display setups
ONKRON TS1991-B Mobile TV Cart with Camera Shelf
8.7 ★★★★★ ★★★★★

ONKRON TS1991-B Mobile TV Cart with Camera Shelf

Pick Reason

Choose this for a large display plus separate AV and camera shelves. The manual separates a 265 lb TV limit from a 286 lb total load; its wide base needs room.

  • TV limit: 265 lb; max VESA 1000×600 mm
  • AV shelf and top camera shelf included
  • Height adjustment and ±5° tilt

Our Verdict
Equipment fit Loved 8.9/10

The mapped manual specifies TV fit separately from the two 11 lb shelves. This is the broadest supported display configuration here, not a tip-test result.

Setup options Loved 8.7/10

Height and tilt controls plus two equipment positions suit presentation setups; no powered lift is included.

Relocation Loved 8.4/10

Four locking casters and a documented 43 x 31 in base provide clear planning information. The large footprint reduces flexibility in tight rooms.

2
Cabinet and workspace
Stand Steady Leader AV Cart with Cabinet and Drop Leaves, Black
8.5 ★★★★★ ★★★★★

Stand Steady Leader AV Cart with Cabinet and Drop Leaves, Black

Pick Reason

The selected 24 x 18 in cart adds a keyboard tray, locking cabinet and two drop leaves. Pick it for accessory storage and temporary workspace; confirm each shelf load before loading equipment.

  • Pullout keyboard tray and locking cabinet

Our Verdict
Equipment fit Loved 8/10

The selected PDP establishes the 24 x 18 in cart and storage configuration. Its generic 100 lb field does not establish individual shelf or drop-leaf limits.

Setup options Loved 9.2/10

The verified cabinet, pullout tray and two drop leaves provide the most varied work and storage positions in this shortlist.

Relocation Loved 8.3/10

Four casters and brakes are described on the selected PDP. Exact selected brake count and open transport footprint remain unconfirmed.

3
Mid-size display setups
VIVO STAND-TV03E Mobile TV Cart with Media Shelf
8.4 ★★★★★ ★★★★★

VIVO STAND-TV03E Mobile TV Cart with Media Shelf

Pick Reason

A practical middle option for a VESA-mounted display and one small accessory. The linked manufacturer manual identifies STAND-TV03E and separates the 110 lb TV and 10 lb shelf limits.

  • TV limit 110 lb; accessory shelf 10 lb
  • Supported VESA patterns up to 600×400 mm
  • ±15° tilt and four locking casters

Our Verdict
Equipment fit Loved 8.4/10

The selected listing part number and its linked manual agree on STAND-TV03E, TV load and shelf load; the unrelated structured model field is not adopted.

Setup options Loved 8.3/10

Height adjustment, tilt, cable routing and one media shelf provide basic display setup choices. VIVO lists a 59.5 in maximum to screen center and 57.5 in to the mounting bracket; these are different reference points.

Relocation Loved 8.6/10

All four casters lock. Conflicting base-width references prevent a dependable doorway-clearance figure, so measure the assembled unit.

4
Open AV equipment storage
Pearington AVCART-01 AV Cart with Keyboard Shelf
8.3 ★★★★★ ★★★★★

Pearington AVCART-01 AV Cart with Keyboard Shelf

Pick Reason

Choose this open steel cart when you need shelves, a retractable keyboard shelf and onboard power without a cabinet. Verify tray-specific load and usable shelf clearance for your equipment.

  • Three storage shelves plus retractable keyboard shelf
  • Four-outlet power strip with 12 ft cord
  • Nominal cart size 24 W x 18 D x 42 H in

Our Verdict
Equipment fit Loved 8.1/10

The selected AVCART-01 PDP describes 110 lb per storage shelf. That claim is not transferred to the keyboard tray; MFS-CART01 is a conflicting item-type label.

Setup options Loved 8.7/10

Adjustable storage shelves, a keyboard shelf and four outlets support several devices. This is not a VESA TV mount and supplies no television or projector.

Relocation Loved 8/10

Four casters and a locking mechanism are listed, but brake count and reliable item weight are unresolved. No rolling-effort claim is made.

5
Light top-shelf equipment
Norwood NOR-OUG1042-SO AV Cart with Power Strip
8 ★★★★★ ★★★★★

Norwood NOR-OUG1042-SO AV Cart with Power Strip

Pick Reason

An open plastic cart with a push handle, three shelves and a three-outlet strip. Its 200 lb total rating is not the top-shelf limit: the supplier says 20 lb there, while Amazon says 25 lb.

  • 32 or 41 in assembled-height options
  • Three outlets with a 15 ft cord
  • Push handle; four casters, two brakes in manual
Check Price available at
Our Verdict
Equipment fit Loved 7.7/10

The exact supplier SKU confirms the cart, but top-shelf limits conflict at 20 versus 25 lb. Stay within the lower stated figure and resolve the supplied unit instructions before loading.

Setup options Loved 8/10

Three open shelves, two assembly-height options and supplied power cover a simple AV setup; there is no cabinet or retractable keyboard tray.

Relocation Loved 8.4/10

The exact-model assembly sheet shows four casters, two with brakes, plus a handle. Supplier dimensions distinguish the 24 in body from 28 in including the handle.

6
Budget display setups
PERLESMITH PSTVMC04 TV Cart with Media Shelf
7.8 ★★★★★ ★★★★★

PERLESMITH PSTVMC04 TV Cart with Media Shelf

Pick Reason

An inexpensive option for a compatible TV and one media shelf. The TV limit is 99 lb, but the selected page gives the shelf 17.6 lb and the mapped V3 manual says 22 lb. Resolve that difference and the 60/65 in screen-size discrepancy before buying for either upper limit.

  • 99 lb TV; shelf 17.6/22 lb source discrepancy
  • VESA 100×100 to 400×400 mm; check listed patterns
  • Adjustable media shelf and locking casters
Check Price available at
Our Verdict
Equipment fit Loved 7.8/10

The mapped PSTVMC04 V3 manual supports 99 lb TV load and VESA endpoints. The selected page and manual differ on shelf load at 17.6/22 lb, and screen size differs at 60/65 in. Confirm the supplied revision and limits; do not plan around either upper disputed value.

Setup options Loved 7.7/10

Adjustable mounting height, a media shelf and tilt establish basic positions. Shelf height is listed at 12 to 24 in; the TV height reference is unconfirmed, which caps Setup options in the locked 7 band.

Relocation Loved 7.8/10

Four wheels with locking casters are documented; exact brake count and assembled footprint were not established. No claim of quiet or floor-safe movement is adopted.

These are manufacturer or selected-listing claims, not BTG measurements. An em dash in the table means the comparable value is unconfirmed. TV, total-cart and shelf loads have different meanings. None of the TV screen-size ranges replaces a check of weight, the actual VESA pattern and the supplied hardware.

Choose the equipment support first

For a mounted TV

The ONKRON TS1991-B has the broadest documented display-support configuration here, with a separately rated AV shelf and camera shelf. Its 43 x 31 in base also calls for room around the installation. Check the base against the available floor space before choosing it for a large display. The TS1991 manual separates its 265 lb TV limit from the 286 lb total; 286 lb is not a TV rating.

VIVO’s STAND-TV03E is a smaller-load alternative with one media shelf. Its official page specifies maximum heights using two references: 59.5 in to the center of the screen and 57.5 in from floor to mounting bracket. Those figures describe different points. The published base-width references still differ, so do not use a single quoted width to promise doorway clearance.

The PERLESMITH PSTVMC04 keeps the basic mounted-TV and media-shelf arrangement at the budget end of this shortlist. Its selected listing gives a 17.6 lb shelf limit in its own comparison table, while the linked PSTVMC04 V3 manual says 22 lb. The title also says up to 65 in, while a structured field says 60 in. Confirm the supplied revision and your TV with the manufacturer before buying for either disputed upper limit. The TV-height reference remains unconfirmed.

For equipment on shelves

Choose the selected 24 x 18 in Stand Steady Leader when a cabinet, keyboard tray and two drop leaves solve an actual workspace need. Its selected configuration is distinct from the 32 in option. Confirm each surface’s load before putting equipment on it: the generic 100 lb field does not establish a per-shelf, keyboard-tray or drop-leaf limit. The cabinet is a storage feature; we have not evaluated its resistance to theft.

Pearington’s AVCART-01 is the open-storage alternative. Its manufacturer description on the selected page lists three storage shelves at 110 lb each plus a separate retractable keyboard shelf. That storage-shelf claim does not establish the keyboard tray’s capacity. Check usable shelf clearance for your devices rather than treating the nominal outside dimensions as clear interior space.

Norwood’s NOR-OUG1042-SO adds a handle and three-outlet power strip. The exact supplier page gives a 20 lb top-shelf limit, while the Amazon listing says 25 lb; both distinguish it from the 200 lb total. Resolve the top-shelf discrepancy and stay within the lower stated figure in the meantime. Its overall-height choices are 32 or 41 in, rather than a continuously adjustable range.

Check the selected model and supplied parts

Match the product label, manual and selected finish or configuration before assembly. VIVO’s selected part number and linked manual identify STAND-TV03E despite an unrelated structured model field. Pearington lists AVCART-01 as model and part number but MFS-CART01 as an item-type field; we did not transfer specifications from a different model or use its suspect listed weight to judge portability.

The current Luxor page at the old AVJ42KBCDL address serves a configurable AVJ42CDL family. Its details do not establish the selected Stand Steady cart’s outlet count, cord length, brake count, drop-leaf dimensions or height increments. For this pick, those details remain unconfirmed unless the selected listing corroborates them. Also keep every auxiliary shelf’s load separate from a TV mount or total-cart load.

How we picked and rated these carts

We screened 24 consecutive organic Amazon offers and researched the six finalists using selected US listings, linked manuals and exact-model manufacturer or supplier pages where available. We retained inexpensive complete carts. Shelf carts and TV carts serve different equipment, so the comparison preserves their load and height references instead of treating them as interchangeable.

Every card uses the same editorial dimensions: Equipment fit (40%), Setup options (35%) and Relocation (25%). The displayed rating is the weighted average rounded to one decimal; order uses the unrounded total. Equipment fit scores the documented support function within the stated use. Setup options covers controls and supplied work or storage provisions. Relocation covers documented casters, brakes, handles and footprint information. Missing or contradictory facts reduce scores. These are assessments of provisions, not measured rolling effort, load performance or tip resistance.

Assembly and movement

Use the manual supplied with the exact unit for assembly, hardware selection and movement instructions. Check the TV’s mounting pattern and weight, each loaded surface, and any restrictions on moving loaded equipment. Follow the manufacturer’s cable and power instructions, and use the documented brakes when the cart is stationed. A wheel count does not prove easy movement on carpet or other floors.

The exact Norwood assembly sheet shows two braking casters and two plain casters. ONKRON and VIVO document four locking casters; the other selected listings do not establish an exact brake count. We make no claim of one-person handling, weatherproofing, electrical certification or safe use around children based on these provisions.

Final verdict

Start with ONKRON TS1991-B for a large compatible display with separate AV and camera shelves. Choose the selected Stand Steady Leader for its cabinet, keyboard tray and drop leaves, after confirming surface loads. VIVO is the simpler mounted-display option; Pearington suits open equipment storage. Norwood’s top-shelf discrepancy and PERLESMITH’s shelf-load and screen-size discrepancies need resolution before buying around those limits. The right form and confirmed limits matter more than the overall score.
